Nuestra casa a la izquierda del tiempo is a unique compilation within La Oreja de Van Gogh’s discography because it doesn’t just gather songs. The band re-recorded and reinterpreted some of their best-known tracks with a more acoustic and orchestral approach, featuring Leire Martínez’s voice and the accompaniment of the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, aiming for a more intimate and cinematic feel.
The title refers to a phrase attributed to Federico García Lorca about looking to the right and left of time. Besides these new versions, the album includes Loa Loa, a traditional lullaby in Basque performed a cappella, the only track on the album that had not been previously released by the band.
