Reissue of "Ultrasónica," the album by Piratas recorded in 2001 at the French studio du manoir, produced by Juan Luis Giménez, Vicente Sabater, and the band itself, marked the group's opportunity to showcase their enormous potential to a wider audience. The lineup led by Iván Ferreiro and Fon Román was in a state of grace and stood out with their most multifaceted work in the musical field. Songs like el equilibrio es imposible, jugar con los coches, caótico neutral, and especially años 80 opened the door for them to maintain their creative independence without giving up mass audiences. Without being alternative enough for the indie scene nor commercial enough for the mainstream charts, Piratas found their own path to reach thousands of fans who did not need to label them.
