Olivia Rodrigo, three-time GRAMMY winner, presents GUTS, her second studio album, released through Geffen Records. On this record, she takes a step forward from SOUR, maintaining the emotional honesty that defines her, but expanding the sound range toward a more rock-influenced approach, with more ironic and craft-aware songwriting.
Produced alongside Daniel Nigro, GUTS was created between sessions at Electric Lady Studios in New York and Nigro’s studio in Los Angeles. The result alternates tension and release, with songs that talk about the pains of growing up, trying to understand who you are at a specific moment, and putting words to that mix of insecurity, anger, and clarity that comes with entering adulthood.
The standard edition on LP vinyl includes the 12 tracks of the album, featuring vampire, bad idea right?, and get him back!, as well as a powerful opening with all american bitch and a closing that slows the pace with teenage dream.
