TASCHEN presents Lost + Found and Good News, the latest and definitive publications by the artist David LaChapelle. The books are the fourth and fifth installments of the five-volume anthology on LaChapelle, which began with LaChapelle Land (1996) and continued with Hotel LaChapelle (1999) and Heaven to Hell (2006).
Lost + Found is a visual record of the times we live in and the challenges we face, expressed through the unique and unmistakable vision of David LaChapelle. With a monumental selection of photographs never before published in book form, it offers a journey through LaChapelle’s most striking images, a visionary artist who also bears witness to the present historical moment.
This fourth volume also reveals to the reader a decade of unpublished work by LaChapelle, a period of creative rebirth that explores the sublime and the paradisiacal and leads viewers to volume two: Good News.

About the artist
Before finishing high school, David LaChapelle was offered his first professional job by Andy Warhol for Interview magazine. His photographs have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, including the Tony Shafrazi gallery and Deitch Projects in New York, and the Barbican Museum in London. His unconventional images of celebrities and contemporary popular culture have appeared on the covers and inside pages of magazines such as Vogue Italy, Vogue France, Vanity Fair, i-D, and Rolling Stone. In recent years, LaChapelle has expanded his work to include music videos, live theatrical performances, and documentary filming.
